The Depression and Anxiety Experts

Ashlee B. Cioffi, MHC-LP

My Background and Approach

As a therapist, my passion is to help people better understand themselves and to relieve the distress of anxiety and depression. My approach is empathetic, genuine and non-judgmental.

In addition to being a Mental Health Councilor, my background in School Counseling gives me a unique window into the  challenges of relationships and raising children.

I use evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to treat anxiety and depression that are tailored to your unique challenges. They work well!

In my experience, having a meaningful relationship with your therapist is one key to successful therapy. Another is understanding the causes of anxiety and depression. That’s why you will also find me to be both caring and a thoughtful problem solver as we
think about your challenges together.

I look forward to meeting you!

My Qualifications & Training

I hold a Bachelor of Psychology (2009) from Hunter college, a Master of Science in Education from Brooklyn College in School Counseling (2010 – 2012) and a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from SUNY Old Westbury (2020 – 2022).

Previously, I worked at South Shore Mental Health Counseling Services as an advanced level graduate student.  I work with individuals, couples and families.  I am experienced in treating anxiety, depression, stress, ADHD, trauma, grief and loss, and family relationship, work, LGBTQIA+, and women’s issues.

At Tomer T. Levin M.D. Psychiatry Center, Dr Levin supervises my work directly.
