My Background and Approach

Senior Therapist

Compassionate Support for Your Journey to Wellness.

Bravo! If you are reading this, you are taking a brave step towards making a positive life change.

I am an experienced therapist and clinical social worker with over 30 years of experience. I love my work. I feel humbled to have the opportunity to join people on their life journey. I believe that people are people. We are all the same and different. And between these two lies an opportunity for growth and healing.

My Approach

To bring about change you need to understand where you learned your behaviors and apply new skills and approaches to your challenges.

I will give you hope and help you to think outside the box. We will figure out a plan and together tackle your challenges one step at a time.I use a client-centered, strength-based model that incorporates evidence-based models like CBT, psycho-dynamic theory, and intuitive understanding. I tailor each session to your unique needs, empowering you to set goals, develop coping strategies, and foster lasting change.

Education And Training

Like my approach to therapy, I have an eclectic work history, moving from working in community building, activism in peace and environmental movements, to Social Work education as a professor, to working with trauma, child abuse, substance abuse and clinical practice with adults. People are people. We are all the same and different.

I have advanced degrees in Social Work and Public Health which enable me to see the micro and macro picture and have a holistic understanding and outlook.
