Tomer T. Levin M.D. Psychiatry Center welcomes Ashlee B. Cioffi MCH-LP

Ms. Cioffi is a psychotherapist with a Bachelor of Psychology (2009) from Hunter college, a Master of Science in Education from Brooklyn College in School Counseling (2010–2012) and a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from SUNY Old Westbury (2020–2022).

She comes to us from South Shore Mental Health Counseling Services, where her work was highly regarded.

Ms Cioffi is experienced in treating anxiety, depression, stress, ADHD, trauma, grief and loss, couples and relationship issues and work challenges. She has a strong interest in LGBTQIA+, and women’s issues.

Dr. Levin supervises her work directly.

In addition to being a Mental Health Councilor, her background in School Counseling gives her a unique window into the challenges of relationships and raising children.

She uses evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), tailored to an individuals unique challenges and notes, “They work well!”

She further says, “As a therapist, my passion is to help people better understand themselves and to relieve the distress of anxiety and depression. My approach is empathetic, genuine and non-judgmental.

In my experience, having a meaningful relationship with your therapist is one key to successful therapy. Another is understanding the causes of anxiety and depression. That’s why you will also find me to be both caring and a thoughtful problem solver as we think about your challenges together.”
